FAQ

The most answered questions we get from future couples. Learn about how we work as destination wedding planners in Italy.
HOW DOES ITALIAN STYLE WEDDINGS WORK?

  • Q: "What wedding planning services do you offer in Italy?"
  • A: We provide full-service Italian wedding planning, managing everything from venue selection and floral design to stationery, catering, and guest logistics. We also specialize in navigating legal requirements for weddings in Italy, ensuring a seamless experience for international couples planning a destination wedding.

  • Q: "Which regions of Italy do you cover?"
  • A: We plan luxury weddings across the entire country. Our expertise includes destination weddings in Tuscany (think about Florence, Siena, Val D'Orcia), the Amalfi Coast (this of Positano, Sorrento, Ravello), Lake Como, Rome, Sicily, and Venice. As independent Italian wedding planners, we aren't tied to specific venues, allowing us to find the best Italian wedding locations based solely on your vision.

  • Q: "Do you offer Italian elopement and micro-wedding packages?"
  • A: Yes. We provide tailored planning for all sizes, including Italian elopements, intimate micro-weddings, and large-scale multi-day wedding celebrations. Every package is customized to the couple's specific needs.

  • Q: "Can I choose my own wedding vendors and suppliers?"
  • A: While we have a curated network of trusted Italian wedding vendors built over 12 years, we are not exclusive. We prioritize your budget and style, and we are happy to collaborate with new local suppliers or vendors you have discovered online.

LOGISTICS AND PLANNING

  • Q: "What are the legal requirements for a civil wedding in Italy for foreigners?"
  • A: The main documents required are a Nulla Osta (Certificate of No Impediment), Atto Notorio, valid passports, and birth certificates. Furter requirements depend on the country of residence. Regardless, all documents must be translated and apostilled.

  • Q: "How far in advance should we book an Italian wedding venue?"
  • A: For popular regions like Lake Como or Tuscany, 18 months is the gold standard. For "shoulder season" months (May/October), 12 months is often sufficient.

  • Q: "What is the best month to get married in Italy for outdoor receptions?"
  • A: September and June offer the best balance of golden hour light and mild temperatures. From mid July to mid August temperatures tend to be very high. October has pleasant temperatures during the days but the evenings tend to be cold. From mid October the chances of rain are greater too.

BUDGET & ROI

  • Q: "What is the average cost of a wedding in Italy?"
  • A: The cost of a destination wedding in Italy varies by region and guest count. As a general benchmark for a premium experience, we recommend a budget starting between €1,000 and €1,500 per guest. This helps cover high-quality catering, venue rental, and essential services.

Q: "What hidden costs should we budget for in an Italian destination wedding?"

A: SIAE (compulsory music Tax) which must be paid for every event, whether the music played in recorded or live. For civil ceremonies, town hall rental fees are applied to non-residents.

GUESTS EXPERIENCE

  • Q: "How do we handle guest transportation for a wedding in the Italian countryside?"
  • A: We organise shuttles from major hubs like Florence (FLR) or Rome (FCO) to the villa, as rural Italian roads can be challenging for international drivers.

  • Q: "What are the best Italian wedding traditions to include in our ceremony?"
  • A: The Italian wedding cake, Millefoglie! It is assembled in front of guests becoming a culinary and entertainment not to miss tradition. A "Pizza & Spritz" welcome party followed by a gelato cart is often the best way to introduce guests to the Italian vibe.
