VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO
Villa Del Balbianello is located on the western shores of Lake Como, 30 minutes from Como city.
Once a private property, today it is a museum owned by the Italian National Trust and open to the public. Over the years the Villa has been backdrops of films such as Star Wars and James Bond as well as the setting of fashion shoots and extraordinary weddings.
Villa del Balbianello stands on the tip of a small wooded peninsula and since it can only be reached by boat, the impact of seeing the Villa from the Lake is memorable. From the deck to the Villa, guests walk through perfectly manicured gardens enriched with elegant trees and colourful flowers.
The Villa’s rental policy allows couple to choose the rental option that suits them and their budget best. It can be rented for the ceremony only, up to 2 hours, or for up to 12 hours for a full day event.
The Villa offers terraces and gardens which can be used for ceremonies and reception. The Three Arched Loggia is however most famous and requested spot for ceremonies. An indoor area is available for up to 75 guests and can be extended to accommodate up to 150 guests with the addition of a marquee.
Civil and symbolic ceremonies can be celebrated at the Villa. No accommodation is present at the venue however plenty of Hotels and accommodation options are available in the nearby towns along the shores of Lake Como.
